Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground meat
  • 1/2 bell pepper
  • 1 Tbsp brown sugar
  • 28 oz pork and beans
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • black pepper to taste
  • your favorite barbecue sauce

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground meat in a skillet.
  2. Drain the meat in a colander.
  3. Saute the bell pepper and onion in the same skillet.
  4. Combine the cooked meat, bell pepper, onion, and pork and beans in a bowl.
  5. Add barbecue sauce to the mixture to make it soupy.
  6. Pour the mixture into a 9 x 13-inch glass dish.
  7. Bake at 350°F until it bubbles, then turn the heat down to 300°F.
  8. Continue baking for 1 hour.
