Ingredients

  • 6 c. fresh broccoli florets
  • 1 1/2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1/3 c. chopped onion
  • 1 1/2 c. mayonnaise
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 3 Tbsp. red wine vinegar or cider vinegar
  • 12 bacon strips, cooked and crumbled

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the broccoli florets, shredded Cheddar cheese, and chopped onion.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, sugar, and vinegar until well blended.
  3. Pour the dressing over the broccoli mixture and toss to coat evenly.
  4. Refrigerate the salad for at least 4 hours to allow flavors to meld.
  5. Just before serving, stir in the crumbled cooked bacon.
