Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
  • 1 large onion, diced
  • 1 pkg. fine egg noodles
  • 2 cans tomato puree or sauce
  • 1/2 stick margarine
  • 1 large can mushrooms
  • 1/2 lb. Velveeta cheese

Instructions

  1. Saute diced onion and canned mushrooms in margarine until golden brown.
  2. Add ground beef and cook until browned, stirring to break up the meat.
  3. Add tomato puree or sauce and simmer for 10 minutes.
  4. Cook egg noodles until tender, then drain and rinse.
  5. Layer cooked noodles, Velveeta cheese, and meat mixture in a 9 x 13-inch pan.
  6. Bake at 350°F for 30 minutes until heated through and bubbly.
