Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 cup rice
  • 1 onion
  • 1/2 lb. grated cheese
  • 1 can stewed tomatoes
  • 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup water
  • bacon

Instructions

  1. Cook the rice until done.
  2. While the rice is cooking, brown the ground beef and chopped onion in a skillet; drain excess fat.
  3. Add grated cheese, stewed tomatoes, and Worcestershire sauce to the meat mixture; simmer until the cheese melts.
  4. In a baking dish, combine the cooked rice, the meat sauce, and water.
  5. Place bacon strips on top of the mixture.
  6. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 30 minutes until hot and bubbly.
