Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup coarse bread crumbs
  • 2/3 cup tomato juice
  • 2 pounds ground round
  • 1/2 cup chopped onions
  • 1 teaspoon seasoning salt
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Soak the bread crumbs in the tomato juice for a few minutes.
  2. Mix the soaked bread crumbs, ground round, chopped onions, seasoning salt, Italian seasoning salt, and garlic powder together with your hands.
  3. Shape the mixture into a cylinder about 4 inches in diameter.
  4. Place the shaped meat loaf into a baking dish.
  5. Bake at 350°F for approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes.
  6. When ready to serve, cut a mark in the center of the meat loaf with a knife.
  7. Make additional marks in the middle of each half, then in each quarter, to divide into slices.
  8. Each slice corresponds to approximately 1/8 of the meat loaf.
