Ingredients

  • 7 cups sliced cucumbers
  • 2 sliced onions
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 2 cups vinegar
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 1 teaspoon celery seed
  • 1/4 teaspoon whole mustard seed

Instructions

  1. Mix sliced cucumbers, sliced onions, and salt in a bowl.
  2. Let stand for two hours.
  3. Combine vinegar, sugar, celery seed, and mustard seed in a pot.
  4. Bring to a boil.
  5. Boil for one minute.
  6. Pour the hot mixture over the cucumbers and onions when it cools.
  7. Stir well with a wooden spoon.
  8. Let stand in the refrigerator for three days.
  9. Stir each day, then put in containers and freeze.
  10. The pickles will keep well in the freezer for a long time.
