Tips & Substitutions

For an extra depth of flavor, consider adding minced garlic or crushed red pepper flakes to the sauce mixture. If you prefer a leaner option, swap Italian sausages for turkey sausage. You can also use diced canned tomatoes instead of tomato paste for a chunkier texture. If you want to make this dish vegetarian, use plant-based sausages and vegetable broth instead of water.

Serving Suggestions

This dish is delightful served over cooked spaghetti or alongside garlic bread for a complete meal. Consider garnishing with fresh parsley or additional Parmesan cheese for an extra touch. For a well-rounded dinner, pair it with a side salad or steamed vegetables. This recipe also pairs beautifully with Pizza Spaghetti Casserole for a fun Italian-themed dinner.

Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To reheat, warm in a saucepan over medium heat until heated through, or microwave in a covered dish for 2-3 minutes, stirring halfway for even heating.
