Mexican Hot Dip

A flavorful Mexican hot dip combining seasoned ground beef, melted cheese, refried beans, and spicy relish, perfect for parties and served with tortilla chips.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. lean ground beef
  • 1 medium green pepper, chopped
  • 1 (1 1/4 oz.) pkg. taco seasoning
  • 2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1 (16 oz.) can refried beans
  • 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 1/2 c. jalapeno relish
  • sliced green onions (optional)
  • sour cream (optional)

Instructions

  1. Crumble beef in a 2-quart glass casserole.
  2. Stir in chopped green pepper and taco seasoning.
  3. Cover and microwave on High power for 5 to 6 minutes, or until beef is no longer pink.
  4. Stir and break apart the meat.
  5. Stir in shredded Cheddar cheese, refried beans, tomato sauce, and jalapeno relish.
  6. Microwave, uncovered, on High power for 5 to 9 minutes, stirring twice, until hot and cheese melts.
  7. Garnish with sliced green onions and optional sour cream.
  8. Serve warm with tortilla or corn chips.
