Ingredients

  • 1 lb. lean ground beef or turkey
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 can chopped green chilies, drained
  • 1 1/4 cups milk
  • 1 envelope taco seasoning mix
  • 3/4 cup Bisquick
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 diced tomatoes
  • 1 green onion, chopped
  • 1 cup Monterey Jack cheese
  • lettuce (optional)
  • sour cream (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F.
  2. Grease a 10-inch pie pan.
  3. Saute ground beef or turkey and chopped onion until browned.
  4. Drain excess fat from the meat mixture.
  5. Stir in taco seasoning mix.
  6. Spread the meat mixture evenly in the prepared pie pan.
  7. In a bowl, combine milk, Bisquick, and eggs to make the batter.
  8. Pour the batter over the meat mixture in the pie pan.
  9. Sprinkle diced tomatoes, chopped green onion, and shredded Monterey Jack cheese on top.
  10. Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 30 minutes until golden and cooked through.
  11. Serve hot with optional lettuce and sour cream.
