Ingredients

  • 4 oz. wide noodles
  • 2 medium onions, sliced
  • 4 to 6 Tbsp. bacon drippings or vegetable oil
  • 1 (No. 2) can tomatoes
  • 1/2 lb. ground beef
  • 1 green pepper, sliced
  • 3/4 tsp. chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt

Instructions

  1. Brown the sliced onions in bacon drippings or vegetable oil.
  2. Remove the onions and fry the noodles and ground beef until they are browned, turning frequently. Drain excess fat.
  3. Add the cooked onions, sliced green peppers, canned tomatoes, chili powder, and salt to the noodles and meat.
  4. Cover and simmer until the noodles are tender.
  5. Stir occasionally during cooking.
