Ingredients

  • 6 to 8 slices torn bread with crust
  • 2 c. milk
  • 1 Tbsp. butter
  • 2 beaten eggs
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 c. raisins
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/4 to 1/2 c. chopped pecans

Instructions

  1. Microwave milk and butter on High for 3 minutes in a 9-inch round microwave dish.
  2. Stir in beaten eggs, sugar, cinnamon, vanilla, and raisins until well blended.
  3. Add torn bread slices and let soak for a minute or two to absorb the custard.
  4. Microwave on High for 7 minutes.
  5. Let sit for 5 minutes before serving.
