- Combine brown sugar, margarine or butter, water, salt, and cinnamon in a 2-quart casserole.

- Stir in the carrots until coated with the glaze.
- Cover and microwave at high until carrots are tender, approximately 5 to 8 minutes.
- Stir once midway during the cooking process.
