Ingredients

  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 2 oz. mushrooms, finely chopped
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1/2 cup fresh bread crumbs
  • 1/2 tsp. basil
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 (16 oz.) jar spaghetti sauce
  • 4 large hero rolls or hot dog buns

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix diced onion, minced garlic, chopped mushrooms, ground beef, bread crumbs, and basil until well combined.
  2. Sprinkle salt and pepper over the mixture.
  3. Shape the mixture into 12 meatballs.
  4. Place the meatballs in a microwave-safe dish and cover with spaghetti sauce.
  5. Microwave on high for about 8-10 minutes until the meatballs are cooked through.
  6. Toast the hero rolls or hot dog buns if desired.
  7. Place three meatballs on each roll, spoon some sauce over, and serve.
