Ingredients

  • 8 to 10 medium potatoes, peeled and cut
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 (8 oz.) package cream cheese
  • 1 (8 oz.) carton French onion dip
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
  • margarine
  • paprika

Instructions

  1. Place potatoes and water in a 3-quart casserole.
  2. Cook, covered, on power 20 to 25 minutes, or until potatoes are tender.
  3. Stir halfway through cooking.
  4. Drain the potatoes.
  5. Beat together cream cheese, French onion dip, salt, pepper, and garlic salt in a large mixing bowl until well blended.
  6. Add hot potatoes one at a time, beating until light and fluffy.
  7. Spoon potatoes into a 2-quart casserole.
  8. Dot with margarine as desired.
  9. Heat, covered, on full power for 4 to 6 minutes or until heated through.
  10. Sprinkle with paprika before serving.
