Ingredients

  • 1 c. raw peanuts
  • 1 c. syrup
  • 1/2 c. white corn syrup
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 Tbsp. butter or oleo
  • 1 tsp. baking soda

Instructions

  1. Butter a cookie sheet.
  2. Put raw peanuts, syrup, white corn syrup, and salt in the microwave at full power for 5 minutes.
  3. Cook for 3 minutes, stir, then cook for 2 more minutes for a total of 5 minutes.
  4. Cook an additional 3 minutes for a total of 8 minutes of cooking time.
  5. Add butter and vanilla; cook for 1 to 2 minutes.
  6. Remove from microwave and quickly add baking soda; stir vigorously.
  7. Pour the mixture onto the prepared cookie sheet and spread out as thin as possible.
