Ingredients

  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, cut in chunks
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Spread chopped pecans evenly in a buttered 8 x 8-inch pan.
  2. In a 2-quart casserole, combine brown sugar and butter.
  3. Microwave at High for 4 1/2 to 8 1/2 minutes, or until sugar is dissolved, stirring after 2 minutes, then every minute.
  4. Do not overcook!
  5. Spread the hot mixture over the nuts in the pan.
  6. Sprinkle with semi-sweet chocolate chips.
  7. Let stand for 20 seconds until chocolate is melted.
  8. Spread the melted chocolate over the candy.
  9. Allow to cool.
  10. Break into pieces to serve.
