- Spread chopped pecans evenly in a buttered 8 x 8-inch pan.
- In a 2-quart casserole, combine brown sugar and butter.
- Microwave at High for 4 1/2 to 8 1/2 minutes, or until sugar is dissolved, stirring after 2 minutes, then every minute.
- Do not overcook!
- Spread the hot mixture over the nuts in the pan.
- Sprinkle with semi-sweet chocolate chips.
- Let stand for 20 seconds until chocolate is melted.
- Spread the melted chocolate over the candy.
- Allow to cool.
- Break into pieces to serve.
