Delightful mincemeat crescents combine flaky pastry with sweet mincemeat filling and a cinnamon-sugar coating, perfect for holiday treats or special occasions with warm, festive flavors.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup margarine, softened
  • 1 (3 oz.) package cream cheese
  • 1 cup unsifted flour
  • 3/4 cup ready to use mincemeat
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Cream together margarine and cream cheese until well blended.
  2. Mix in flour to form a dough.
  3. Shape dough into a smooth ball.
  4. Wrap in aluminum foil and chill for at least 1 hour.
  5. Roll out dough to 1/8-inch thickness.
  6. Cut out circles using a 3-inch round cookie cutter.
  7. Place about 1 teaspoon of mincemeat in the center of each circle.
  8. Fold over and press edges together to seal.
  9. Place cookies on ungreased baking sheets.
  10. Bake in a preheated 375°F oven for about 15 minutes.
  11. Combine sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl.
  12. Roll warm cookies in the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  13. Cool cookies before serving.
