Ingredients

  • 1 C lentils
  • 1/2 C basmati rice
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3/4 tsp pepper
  • 1 1/2 tsp cumin
  • 1 onion
  • 1/4 C olive oil

Instructions

  1. Wash the lentils under running water.
  2. Put the lentils in a cooking pan with one cup of water and bring to a boil over high heat for 5-7 minutes.
  3. Lower the heat and cook, covered, for 15-20 minutes or until the water is absorbed.
