Ingredients

  • 1 cup margarine
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 3 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 3/4 cups flour
  • 1 cup chopped nuts
  • 2 ounces melted unsweetened chocolate

Instructions

  1. Cream margarine and sugar together.
  2. Add eggs, vanilla, and salt; mix well.
  3. Stir in flour until combined.
  4. Divide the batter in half.
  5. Add chopped nuts to one half of the batter and spread in a 9 x 13-inch pan.
  6. Add melted unsweetened chocolate to the other half of the batter and spread over the nut layer in the pan.
