- Wash chicken and pat dry.
- In a frying pan, combine salad oil, vinegar, brown sugar, catsup, Worcestershire sauce, garlic salt or minced garlic, and water.
- Add chicken to the pan.
- Cook, uncovered, over medium heat, turning to brown evenly, for 35 to 40 minutes, or until tender.
- Remove chicken to a platter.
- Skim off excess oil from the sauce.
- Add a little water to the pan and stir to loosen brownings.
- Pour the sauce over the chicken and serve.
