Ingredients

  • 4 chicken breasts or equivalent parts
  • 2 Tbsp salad oil
  • 1 Tbsp vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp catsup
  • 1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/8 tsp garlic salt or 1 clove fresh minced garlic
  • 1/4 cup water

Instructions

  1. Wash chicken and pat dry.
  2. In a frying pan, combine salad oil, vinegar, brown sugar, catsup, Worcestershire sauce, garlic salt or minced garlic, and water.
  3. Add chicken to the pan.
  4. Cook, uncovered, over medium heat, turning to brown evenly, for 35 to 40 minutes, or until tender.
  5. Remove chicken to a platter.
  6. Skim off excess oil from the sauce.
  7. Add a little water to the pan and stir to loosen brownings.
  8. Pour the sauce over the chicken and serve.
