Deliciously sweet and crunchy mock candy bars featuring corn flakes, peanuts, and rich chocolate, perfect for satisfying sweet cravings or sharing at parties.

Ingredients

  • 6 c. corn flakes
  • 1 c. peanuts
  • 1/2 c. brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. white sugar
  • 1 c. corn syrup
  • 1 c. peanut butter
  • 1 lb. baking chocolate

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 300°F and melt the baking chocolate.
  2. Bring the corn syrup, brown sugar, and white sugar to a boil, stirring constantly.
  3. Boil and stir for 1 minute.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in the peanut butter.
  5. Add the peanuts and corn flakes to the mixture, folding gently to combine.
  6. Press the mixture into a 9 x 13-inch cake pan, spreading evenly.
  7. Pour the melted chocolate over the pressed mixture, covering completely.
  8. Allow to cool and set, then cut into small bars.
