Ingredients

  • 2 rabbits, cut up
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon basil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 cup cooking oil
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley
  • 1 cup sour cream

Instructions

  1. Combine flour, basil, salt, and pepper, then rub well into the rabbit pieces.
  2. Heat the cooking oil in a large skillet or Dutch oven.
  3. Saute the rabbit until it browns lightly on all sides.
  4. Add water, red wine vinegar, sugar, honey, and chopped parsley to the pan.
  5. Simmer the mixture uncovered for about 30 minutes, or until the rabbit is tender.
  6. Stir in the sour cream just before serving to create a creamy sauce.
