Ingredients

  • 1 head Green Cabbage, Shredded, Or Use 2 Large Bags Coleslaw Mix
  • 1/2 cups Chopped Green Bell Pepper
  • 1/2 cups Finely Minced Onion
  • 1/2 cups Vinegar
  • 1/2 cups Oil
  • 1/2 cups Sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoons Mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoons Celery Seed

Instructions

  1. Place cabbage, green pepper and onion, and salt and pepper (to taste) into a large bowl.
  2. Bring the remaining ingredients to a boil in a medium saucepan. Pour over the vegetables; stir to combine. refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or even overnight.
  3. Note: Don't leave out the celery seed! It absolutely makes this recipe. It is worth it to go buy some, and then you'll have it on hand for every coleslaw you make. It really peps up the flavor.
