Ingredients

  • graham cracker crumbs
  • butter
  • 6 oz. semi-sweet chocolate bits
  • 3 Tbsp. milk
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • heavy whipping cream

Instructions

  1. Prepare the pie crust by following the directions on the graham cracker crumb box, using slightly more crumbs and butter for a thicker crust.
  2. Melt the semi-sweet chocolate bits with 3 tablespoons of milk over low heat or in a double boiler until smooth.
  3. In a mixing bowl, beat the eggs with 2 tablespoons of sugar and 1 teaspoon plus 1 capful of vanilla until well combined.
  4. Gradually add the melted chocolate mixture to the eggs, stirring constantly to prevent curdling.
  5. Pour the filling into the prepared pie crust.
  6. Refrigerate the pie for at least 2 hours or until set.
  7. Whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form and spread or pipe over the chilled pie before serving.
