Ingredients

  • 4 onions
  • 3 large green peppers
  • 1 large red pepper
  • 5 green tomatoes
  • 10 cucumbers
  • 1/4 c. salt
  • 1 Tbsp. mustard seed
  • 1/2 Tbsp. celery seed
  • 3/4 Tbsp. turmeric
  • 3 c. sugar
  • 2 c. vinegar

Instructions

  1. Grind first 4 ingredients together, using coarse blade on grinder.
  2. Drain.
  3. Sprinkle with salt.
  4. Let stand overnight. Drain.
  5. Combine remaining ingredients.
  6. Pour over ground vegetables.
  7. Boil 5 to 10 minutes.
  8. Put in hot jars; cover tightly with hot lids to seal.
  9. Place on towel covered cupboard to seal and cool.
