Ingredients

  • 3 pkg. dry yeast
  • 1/2 c. warm water
  • 3/4 c. Crisco oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 c. buttermilk
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. baking powder

Instructions

  1. Combine yeast dissolved in 1/2 cup of warm water with Crisco oil, eggs, and buttermilk, then mix in dry ingredients.
  2. Beat with a mixer or knead until smooth.
  3. Put the dough into a large bowl and cover to let it rise.
  4. Make the dough the night before and refrigerate it in the icebox.
  5. Monitor when the dough begins to rise.
  6. Punch the dough down after it has risen.
  7. Shape into rolls or cinnamon rolls as desired.
