- Cream 1 cup of sugar and butter together.
- Mix the second cup of sugar with the eggs, then beat with the butter mixture.
- Add flour and baking powder to this mixture and mix well.
- Divide dough into 6 parts, each about the size of a child's wrist.
- Bake at 325°F for 30 minutes or until light brown.
- Remove from oven, and when easy to handle, cut into slices 1/2-inch thick.
- Spread slices on a cookie sheet and dry in the oven at 300°F.
- Turn over after about 10 minutes and dry 10 more minutes or until brown.
