Ingredients

  • 1 cup margarine
  • 1/2 cup cocoa
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 cup nuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Melt margarine and stir in cocoa.
  2. In a large bowl, beat eggs slightly on medium speed of mixer.
  3. Add sugar, flour, and the margarine/cocoa mixture; beat on medium speed until thoroughly blended.
  4. Pour the batter into a greased and floured 9 x 12-inch pan.
  5. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25 to 30 minutes.
  6. Cool before icing.
