Ingredients

  • 4 slices bacon
  • 1/2 lb. fresh mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 (16 oz.) cans green beans, drained
  • pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook bacon in a large skillet until crisp; remove bacon, reserving 3 tablespoons of drippings in the skillet.
  2. Crumble bacon and set aside.
  3. Add sliced mushrooms and chopped onion to the drippings in the skillet; sauté until the onion is tender.
  4. Add drained green beans and pepper to the skillet; cook until thoroughly heated.
  5. Transfer to a serving dish and top with crumbled bacon.
