Ingredients

  • 3 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • Mushroom Filling

Instructions

  1. Mix cream cheese and butter together thoroughly.
  2. Add flour and mix well until the dough is soft and creamy.
  3. Chill the dough well, preferably for a day or two, wrapped tightly.
  4. Roll the dough to 1/8-inch thickness on a lightly floured surface.
  5. Cut the dough with a 2-inch to 3-inch biscuit cutter.
  6. Place approximately a teaspoon of mushroom filling in the center of each cut-out.
  7. Fold the dough over the filling and press the edges together with a fork.
  8. Prick the top crusts to allow steam to escape.
  9. Place the pastries on an ungreased cookie sheet and bake until lightly browned, about 10 to 15 minutes.
