Ingredients

  • 2 cups Heinz distilled white vinegar
  • 3 tablespoons prepared mustard
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 6 whole cloves
  • 18 hard-cooked eggs
  • 2 onions sliced

Instructions

  1. Slowly blend Heinz distilled white vinegar, prepared mustard, water, sugar, salt, and 6 whole cloves.
  2. Simmer the mixture for 10 minutes.
  3. Allow the mixture to cool.
  4. Pour the cooled mixture over 18 shelled hard-cooked eggs and sliced onions.
  5. Optional: Add yellow food coloring for a deeper color.
  6. Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.
