A creamy, cheesy vegetable casserole featuring broccoli, cauliflower, and mushrooms, perfect for holiday gatherings or family dinners with comforting flavors.

Ingredients

  • 1 head broccoli
  • 1 head cauliflower
  • 1 lb. fresh mushrooms
  • 2 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
  • 1 tsp. lemon juice
  • 2 Tbsp. milk

Instructions

  1. Cook broccoli and cauliflower in salted water until almost tender, then drain well.
  2. Sauté sliced mushrooms in butter for a few minutes until they release juice.
  3. Keep the cooked mushrooms in the pan.
  4. Add cream cheese, cut into pieces, to the pan and melt on low heat, stirring constantly until smooth.
  5. Add lemon juice and milk; stir well to combine.
  6. Fold in the cooked broccoli and cauliflower into the mushroom mixture.
  7. Transfer the mixture to a greased casserole dish.
  8. Bake at 350°F (175°C) until hot and bubbly, approximately 30 minutes.
  9. Optional: top with buttered crumbs, if desired.
