Ingredients

  • 2 cups Hudson cream
  • self-rising flour
  • 1/3 cup oil
  • 1 1/4 cups buttermilk

Instructions

  1. Mix all ingredients together in a mixing bowl; stir well.
  2. Pour the mixture onto a well-floured surface.
  3. Knead the dough as little as possible; just enough to handle.
  4. Cut with a biscuit cutter and place on a well-oiled pan.
  5. Oil the tops of the biscuits.
  6. Bake at 450° to 500°F for 12 minutes on the bottom rack.
  7. Move to the top rack and brown the tops of the biscuits.
