Ingredients

  • 8 oz. cream cheese
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/4 cups chopped pecans
  • 1 cup light or dark corn syrup

Instructions

  1. Beat the cream cheese, 1/3 cup sugar, 1 egg, 1 teaspoon vanilla, and salt in a small mixing bowl until thick and creamy. Set aside.
  2. Beat 3 eggs in a mixing bowl until blended.
  3. Add 1/4 cup sugar, corn syrup, and 1 teaspoon vanilla; blend well.
  4. Spread the cream cheese mixture into the bottom of the pie crust.
  5. Sprinkle chopped pecans over the cream cheese layer.
  6. Gently pour the corn syrup mixture over the pecans.
  7. Bake at 350°F for 35 to 40 minutes, until the center is firm to touch.
