- Mix hot chicken or turkey broth, bouillon cubes, and oleo; let stand until bouillon cubes are broken up.
- Break all the bread into small pieces and put in a large pan.
- Add chopped celery and onions to the bread.
- Add sage and stir well.
- Add the broth mixture and mix well.
- Chop oysters and add them along with their liquid to the mixture.
- Add beaten eggs and mix thoroughly.
- Adjust salt to taste.
- Ensure there is enough liquid to see after standing a few minutes.
- Bake in a covered roaster pan at 350°F for about 2 hours or until done.
