Ingredients

  • 1 lb. pork
  • 1 large can stewed tomatoes
  • 1 large onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 lb. green cactus, peeled and diced*
  • 3 c. water
  • 2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
  • 1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
  • seasoned salt
  • salt
  • pepper

Instructions

  1. Cube the pork; fry in a skillet with onion and garlic.
  2. In a large Dutch oven, add all ingredients, salt and pepper to taste and 1/4 teaspoon cumin and seasoned salt.
  3. Heat for 1 hour.
  4. Serve with crusty bread.
