Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1/4 cup molasses
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon cloves
  • 1/2 teaspoon ginger
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Mix vegetable oil, white sugar, molasses, and egg together.
  2. Add flour, soda, salt, cloves, ginger, and cinnamon to the mixture.
  3. Roll spoonfuls of dough into balls and roll in sugar.
  4. Bake on a greased cookie sheet at 350°F (175°C) for 8 to 10 minutes.
