Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups seasoned croutons
  • 2 cups sharp Cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 1/2 cups chopped ham, sausage, or bacon
  • 6 eggs
  • 3 cups milk
  • 3/4 tablespoon dried mustard
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • salt

Instructions

  1. Use cooking spray to coat a 9 x 13-inch glass baking dish.
  2. Pour the seasoned croutons into the dish to cover the bottom.
  3. Layer half of the shredded cheese and chopped meat over the croutons.
  4. In a bowl, combine eggs, milk, dried mustard, cream of mushroom soup, salt, and pepper.
  5. Pour the liquid mixture evenly over the contents of the dish.
  6. Spread the remaining cheese over the top.
  7. Cover and let stand in the refrigerator overnight.
  8. Preheat the oven to 325°F (163°C).
  9. Remove plastic wrap or foil from the dish.
  10. Bake for 1 hour.
  11. Let stand for 10 minutes before serving.
