Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup cocoa
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup white syrup
  • 1/4 cup margarine
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 cups uncooked oats
  • 1 cup coconut or walnuts

Instructions

  1. Combine cocoa, sugar, and salt in a saucepan; then add milk and white syrup, and stir.
  2. Cook to soft ball stage and remove from heat.
  3. Add margarine, vanilla, oats, and coconut or walnuts.
  4. Stir well and drop by teaspoonfuls onto waxed paper.
