Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine
  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 1 teaspoon grated orange rind
  • 2 cups quick cooking rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts
  • flaked coconut

Instructions

  1. Melt the butter or margarine and stir in the light brown sugar.
  2. Add the orange juice and grated orange rind to the mixture.
  3. Heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves completely.
  4. Stir in the quick cooking rolled oats and chopped nuts.
  5. Chill the mixture for about an hour until firm.
  6. Shape the chilled mixture into small balls.
  7. Roll each ball in flaked coconut.
  8. Serve and enjoy.
