Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup light corn syrup
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 teaspoon peppermint extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 pound confectioners sugar
  • 1 drop red food coloring

Instructions

  1. Blend together the corn syrup, butter, and peppermint extract until well combined.
  2. Divide the mixture into three equal parts. Color one part red, another green, and leave the third white.
  3. Shape each colored portion into small balls and flatten them with a fork on wax paper.
  4. Allow the mint patties to dry until set.
  5. Optional: Coat the finished patties with chocolate for extra flavor.
