Delicious no-fry tacos featuring seasoned ground beef and turkey, customizable toppings, and warm corn tortillas, perfect for quick family dinners or casual gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb. lean ground beef
  • 1/2 lb. lean ground turkey
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 1 can diced green chilies
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 to 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 to 2 teaspoons chili powder
  • 12 corn tortillas

Instructions

  1. Brown beef and turkey in a nonstick skillet.
  2. Drain and rinse the meat.
  3. Return meat to skillet and add all remaining ingredients except the tortillas.
  4. Simmer, uncovered, for 15 to 20 minutes.
  5. Meanwhile, wrap tortillas tightly in foil and warm in a 250°F oven.
  6. Let your family roll their own tacos.
  7. Garnish with shredded lettuce, tomatoes, green onions, shredded zucchini, and grated nonfat cheese.
