Crispy, savory crab-filled wonton horns with dill and garlic, perfect as elegant appetizers for parties or special gatherings that impress with their delicate flavor and presentation.

Ingredients

  • 24 wonton wrappers
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon dill weed
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1 package softened cream cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 cup chopped imitation crabmeat

Instructions

  1. Place a wonton wrapper on a work surface with one corner facing you.
  2. Roll into a cone shape.
  3. Cut the open end with sharp scissors until the edge is even.
  4. Place a 1-inch foil ball in the opening of the cone.
  5. Place the cone seam side down on a greased baking sheet.
  6. Repeat with remaining wonton wrappers.
  7. Bake at 375 degrees Fahrenheit for 10 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. In a small bowl, combine melted butter, dill weed, and garlic salt.
  9. Brush the mixture over the baked cones.
  10. Remove the cones to a wire rack and cool completely.
  11. Remove the foil balls from the cones.
  12. In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth.
  13. Add sour cream, lemon juice, and dill; mix well.
  14. Fold in the chopped imitation crabmeat.
  15. Transfer the crab mixture to a pastry or plastic bag with the corner cut.
  16. Pipe the crab filling into the cooled cones.
