Deliciously crunchy cookies with rich pecan or walnut pieces, sweet vanilla flavor, and a hint of vinegar, perfect for satisfying cookie cravings or sharing with friends.

Ingredients

  • 2 sticks Imperial margarine (cold)
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon white vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts

Instructions

  1. Cream cold margarine for about 5 minutes.
  2. Gradually add sugar to the creamed margarine.
  3. Add white vinegar and vanilla to the mixture.
  4. Mix baking soda into the flour and gradually add it to the margarine mixture.
  5. Blend in chopped pecans or walnuts.
  6. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto an ungreased cookie sheet.
  7. Bake in a 325°F oven for 15 minutes on the middle rack.
