Ingredients

  • 1 cup margarine, softened
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/2 cup chopped peanuts, pecans, or walnuts
  • sifted powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Cream the margarine, granulated sugar, vanilla, and 1 tablespoon of water until smooth.
  2. Stir in the flour and chopped nuts; mix well.
  3. Shape the dough into crescent shapes.
  4. Place the shaped cookies on an ungreased cookie sheet.
  5. Bake at 350°F for 15 to 20 minutes until lightly golden.
  6. Cool on a rack, then roll in sifted powdered sugar.
