Ingredients

  • 3 sticks butter (room temperature)
  • 3/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 4 teaspoons vanilla
  • 4 teaspoons water
  • 4 cups sifted flour
  • 2 cups chopped pecans

Instructions

  1. Cream the butter until smooth.
  2. Add the powdered sugar and mix thoroughly.
  3. Stir in vanilla and water until well combined.
  4. Gradually mix in the sifted flour until a dough forms.
  5. Hand-mix in the chopped pecans.
  6. Shape the dough into fingers about the size of pecans.
  7. Place on a baking sheet and bake at 350°F for 25 to 30 minutes or until lightly browned.
  8. Allow to cool completely.
  9. Roll the cooled cookies in powdered sugar before serving.
