- Work peanut butter and hot water together until smooth.
- Mix tomato juice and flour until smooth.
- Combine the peanut butter mixture with the tomato mixture and add remaining ingredients: chopped onion, salt, and sage or poultry seasoning.
- Steam in a buttered double boiler for 5 1/2 hours.
- Cool the mixture.
- Turn onto a plate, then slice and serve cold or fry and serve with tomato gravy.
