A hearty nutty loaf with savory flavors, perfect for a vegetarian main dish or family dinner, complemented by rich mushroom gravy and fresh herbs.

Ingredients

  • oil
  • green onion
  • water
  • celery
  • ground
  • thyme
  • mushroom gravy
  • ground blanched almonds
  • cereal
  • parsley
  • leaf basil
  • salt

Instructions

  1. Saute green onion and celery in oil until tender.
  2. Finely grind blanched almonds or liquify with water in a blender until very fine.
  3. Combine all ingredients except mushroom gravy.
  4. Pack the mixture into a greased loaf pan or ring mold.
  5. Bake in a 350°F oven for 1 hour.
  6. Serve the nutty loaf with mushroom gravy.
