Oat-Pecan Burgers

Ingredients
- 4 cups water ⓘ
- 1/2 cup soy sauce ⓘ
- 1/3 cup canola oil ⓘ
- 1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts ⓘ
- 1/4 cup nutritional yeast flakes ⓘ
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon dried sweet basil
- 2 teaspoons onion powder ⓘ
- 1 teaspoon Baken seasoning
- 1 teaspoon ground coriander ⓘ
- 1 teaspoon dried sage ⓘ
- 4 cups rolled oats ⓘ
Instructions
- Place water, soy sauce, canola oil, chopped pecans or walnuts, nutritional yeast flakes, garlic powder, dried sweet basil, onion powder, Baken seasoning, ground coriander, and dried sage in a large saucepan.
- Stir well and bring to a slow boil over medium-low heat.
- Stir in rolled oats and immediately remove from heat.
- Cover and set aside to cool.
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Form the oat mixture into 2-inch patties and place them on baking sheets sprayed with Pam.
- Bake for 15 minutes, then flip and bake for another 15 minutes on the other side.
- Serve the burgers with gravy if desired, or freeze for later use.
