Oatmeal Cookie Kings

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups sifted flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup butter (I use margarine)
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 2 eggs, well beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 3 cups quick oatmeal
  • nuts, of quantity and choice (I use 1/2 c. walnuts chopped finely)

Instructions

  1. Sift first 3 ingredients together.
  2. Cream butter and sugars;
  3. add eggs and vanilla.
  4. Add flour mixture, oatmeal and nuts; mix well.
  5. Drop from teaspoon 2 inches apart onto greased cookie sheet.
  6. Bake at 375 degrees for 10-12 minutes.
